Thousands of Queenslanders returned to nature over the long weekend, following the welcome relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions and the reopening of many of our national parks. Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) rangers across the state said that car parks at local national parks were full, with most visitors observing social distancing rules and only moving in family or household groups.
The high visitation numbers showed just how much us Queenslanders value the health and wellbeing benefits of our magnificent national parks and how much we've missed visiting them when they were closed.
And the talented team at Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast are happy they've played their part in supporting QPWS rangers along the way.
QPWS are one our regular service customers and we're delighted that we've played our role in keeping the rangers on the road. In fact, the workshop has been teeming with all our favourite essential service customers from Coles delivery trucks to QLD ambulance service MB vans. Keep up the good work in the service centre boys.
