HERE AT DAIMLER TRUCKS SUNSHINE COAST WE LOVE OUR LOYAL STAFF.
We especially love the hard working guys in the workshop, who turn up day in day out and literally get their hands dirty servicing and repairing our customers pride and joys (their trucks of course). One of our valued mechanics said to me "We have some great, highly skilled guys in the workshop and it would be a good idea to introduce our workshop stars to our customers, sharing their skills and experience." I thought what a fabulous idea (thanks Michael).
INTRODUCING DEAN - DIESEL MECHANIC
We've been lucky enough to have Dean working with us for the last 7 years. He has 18 years of heavy machinery experience working in a wide variety of industries.
Dean started working on a sawmill at 7 years of age. Then 14 he began working with log trucks as a mechanic. At 20 he shifted into the earth moving industry and then completed his diesel automotive and marine apprenticeship in Taupo New Zealand before commencing work with Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast.
Dean is fully qualified, knows heaps about all types of heavy machinery and has special knowledge of American truck systems including plant, machinery and electrical. He's the man for fixing the BIG American trucks we service here in the dealership. He specialises in skills-diagnostics, repair, maintenance and engineering.
DEAN'S QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
Cert4 heavy on road mechanical engineering with Mito
In-house training Detroit / Cummins / Eaton / Freightliner
Comprehensive Fuso training
Multi combination truck license
"A typical day involves various electrical diagnostic and repair jobs; from breakdowns to full rebuilds and day to day maintenance." Dean likes that his job is "active with plenty of exercise and that there's always something different, new challenges, knowledge learning and of course the opportunity to make a living." Dean says he's comfortable in the workshop and that the "people are good".
WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE DEAN IN THE WORKSHOP LOOKING AFTER THE NEEDS OF OUR AWESOME CUSTOMERS. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK, WE APPRECIATE IT.
